We have worked really hard during Distance learning, we were given points for attendance and our work ethic. I would like to congratulate all students who demonstrated the Hay Park Way all the way through by being resilient, respectful and responsible.

Samoan Language week
Samoan Language week
In Lockhart class, we created art using images from Pacifica and Samoa. We had images printed and we looked at the designs and motifs. On big pieces of paper, we selected and drew the designs and patterns we wanted to create. Once we were happy with our designs, we chose 3 colours and a white pastel to outline our work. We copied our work onto a black piece of paper using a pencil, then we went over it with oil pastel.Thank you Fa'afetai

Digital Portraits
Today, we worked on using different skills on Google Drawing. We attempted to make a digital portrait. It was our first doing this task, most of us found it really tricky. We explored the different tools, such as different lines and colour.

Beach Cleanup
Kia Ora Whanau,
We went on a trip to clean up the beach - Onehunga Beach. We feel and know that it is very important to look after our environment and protect the sealife.
We found lots of interesting things that should have not been thrown at the beach. For example, bottles, glad wrap and plastic bags.
After the clean up we had a picnic with our friends and family, then we swam at the beach.
Here are some pictures from our trip.

Kai Ora to our new buddies. Room 6 is called Lockhart Class and we use Chromebooks for our learning. We also have a touch screen TV that helps us learn. At Hay Park we have our own bush walk and we have sports teams like cricket. In Auckland we have the Sky Tower and Rainbow's End which is an amusement park.
