Food for thought

 Kia ora Bloggers,

We have been so lucky to have Isabel from the Heart Foundation come to our school and teach us about healthy food choices. So far we have had 2 sessions.

In our first session, we learnt about the different food groups. We looked at everyday foods and food that we can have sometimes.

In your second session, we looked at the sugar content in popular drinks. In groups, we first rated the sugar contents in drinks from least to most. We were shocked when Isabel shared the true sugar content. We could have 5 teaspoons of added sugar every day, some of the sugar added to drinks were way over what our daily intake should be.

Hope you learnt something, feel free to leave a comment.
