Matariki

Kia Ora everyone, in Lockhart class we read a book about what Matariki is and then we wrote a paragraph about what we learnt on a star. We then decorated our star and this was displayed in our classroom.

Matariki is a celebration of the Maori new year, one of the things you could do is set new goals. In our class, we set new learning goals on paper feathers and created a class Korowai.

Thank you to Leon & Phersayiz who presented their writing during the Matariki Assembly.

  9. Hi,
The Matariki assembly was nice. It was nice to see other classes share what they had done for Matariki week. In Garlick class, I like how they made stars and hung them on string.
